We would rather tell you now than have you find out on arrival:

• It is a ground-floor inner flat with little daylight. The studio is on the ground floor of the corrala and its windows face the building's inner courtyard, not the street. During the day you will need the lights on.
• No views: the window looks onto the shared courtyard.
• 30 m² and for a maximum of 2 guests. It is a studio, not a one-bedroom flat. We cannot take a third person or a cot.
• The sleeping area has no door: it is separated from the living room by wooden folding doors. Visual privacy only, not soundproofing.
• One bathroom wall is made of translucent glass blocks facing the living room. You cannot see through it, but light and silhouettes do come through. Shower, no bathtub.
• The air conditioning is a portable unit vented outside: it cools well and you hear it while it runs.
• A corrala with resident neighbours: you come in through the building's shared courtyard, where people live.
• Lively, noisy neighbourhood: bars and terraces all around, street noise from Thursday to Sunday, and the Rastro flea market fills the area on Sunday mornings. Light sleepers should bring earplugs.
• No parking space and inside Madrid's low-emission zone. Public car park 3 minutes' walk away.

If you are looking for a bright, quiet flat with views, this is not the place. If you want to be right in the centre, at a fair price, in a genuine Madrid corrala, it is a great fit.

This apartment places you in the heart of Madrid, with historic and cultural landmarks a short walk away. Highlights include:

✔ Atocha Station – ideal if you are travelling by train, only a 10-minute drive or 9 minutes on foot.

✔ Reina Sofía Museum – only 13 minutes on foot, perfect for contemporary art lovers.

✔ Retiro Park – Madrid's green lung, only 13 minutes on foot.

However small the issue, do not hesitate to write to us and it will be resolved as quickly as possible.

This central apartment is on the ground floor and has wifi. It gets very little natural light. The bathroom walls are somewhat transparent, an important point to bear in mind. If you are travelling by train, you will be glad to know that Atocha Station is only a 10-minute drive away.

There is also a wide choice of restaurants, bars and 24-hour supermarkets nearby, so you can enjoy Madrid's food and nightlife at your own pace.

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out before 11:00.
