🛏 BEDROOMS

Molino do Mendo has four spacious, bright bedrooms with distinctive decor that respects the essence of the original building. Each one has been designed so rest is complete and the atmosphere intimate and welcoming.

The layout is generous and adapts perfectly to both family groups and friends travelling together. The beds are made up with quality linen included, comfortable mattresses and direct views over the nature around you. There are wardrobes, hangers, extra blankets and blackout blinds to guarantee uninterrupted rest, whatever time you feel like sleeping.

Each bedroom has its own character: wooden beamed ceilings, stone walls that tell the building's story, and windows that frame the green Galician landscape like paintings. Waking up at Molino do Mendo is one of those pleasures you only understand once you have experienced it.

🚿 BATHROOMS

The property has 3 full bathrooms plus 2 additional guest toilets, designed so that even with a large group, getting ready in the morning flows calmly and without waiting.

The bathrooms are equipped with showers, bathtubs (in some), bidet, mirror, hair dryer and everything you need: soft towels per guest, gel, shampoo and soap. Hot water is constant and plentiful, something you particularly appreciate after a day walking in the surrounding area or a quiet afternoon by the river.

🍳 KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM

The kitchen at Molino do Mendo is fully equipped so you can cook together as if you were in your own home, with everything you need and nothing missing. Oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker and every utensil you can imagine: pans, pots, plates, glasses, cutlery and even barbecue tools for afternoons outdoors.

The indoor dining room, with a large table that seats every guest at once, is one of the mill's most special spaces. There is something magical about sitting down together around a table in a historic building, with the sound of the river in the background and wooden beams overhead. Meals at Molino do Mendo become memories.

And if the weather cooperates — which in Galicia always depends on rain and sun in equal measure — the outdoor terrace with a table and chairs is waiting for breakfast or dinner with river views.

🛋 SITTING ROOMS

Molino do Mendo has 3 different sitting rooms, each with its own atmosphere and personality. This is not a property with a single lounge where everyone ends up crowded in front of the TV: here there is space for everyone to find their favourite corner.

The main sitting room, with a wood-burning fireplace, comfortable sofas and views over the Galician landscape, is the perfect place for rainy afternoons and evenings of conversation. The fire crackling, the river in the background and a glass of wine in hand: that is Molino do Mendo at its cosiest.

There is also a reading area with armchairs and natural light, ideal for the moments of pause and stillness that are so welcome on a rural getaway. And a work space with a desk and fast wifi, because we know remote work and rest sometimes go together, and here you can have both.

🌳 OUTDOORS: WHERE THE MILL COMES ALIVE

The star of Molino do Mendo is its outdoor setting. This is where the property becomes something truly special, somewhere you will find hard to leave at the end of your stay.

The chill-out porch beside the river is the most sought-after spot of all: armchairs, the sound of water running at your feet, the shade of the trees and the sense that time has stopped. You can spend hours there, reading, chatting or simply listening to the natural world around you.

The terrace over the river is another highlight. Having breakfast with the river below you as the sun lights up the ferns and centuries-old stones is an experience beyond price.

The panoramic glazed viewing room is perhaps the most photogenic place in the whole mill: an open space with postcard views over the woods, the river and the waterfall. In winter, with rain against the glass and the fire lit downstairs, it is the most magical place in the world.

The setting is the main event. The mill is surrounded by Atlantic woodland, with direct access to the River Mendo and its waterfall from the grounds themselves. 🏙 Betanzos — 10 km (12 minutes by car)

🚗 How to get here

Molino do Mendo is easily reached by car from A Coruña (30 min), Betanzos (12 min) and Ferrol (45 min). Private parking within the grounds means you can arrive comfortably and leave the car for the whole stay without worrying. Arriving by public transport is not recommended, as the rural location makes your own vehicle essential for getting around the area freely.

📋 HOUSE RULES

So that everyone's stay at Molino do Mendo is perfect, please bear these rules in mind:

- Check-in from 16:00 | Check-out before 12:00. If you need a late check-out that has not been agreed in advance, a €20 surcharge per extra hour applies.

- Maximum capacity: 10 guests. The property does not accept more people than stated.

- Pets allowed (maximum 2), provided they stay off the sofa and beds. If this is not respected, a €30 penalty applies.

- No smoking inside the property.

- No parties or noisy events that disturb the surroundings.

- The fireplace is available for use during your stay. Please use it with care.

- Free parking available on the property.

- Wifi available throughout the house for remote work or entertainment.

- Quiet hours from 23:00 to 09:00, out of respect for the rural setting.
